World Space Week 2001 Plans & Report

"The Space Bus" will be inaugurated Sept. 27 in Curitiba, South Region. It is a bus we have transformed in a road museum, it will be a kind of exposition about space activities. The idea it is to visit schools, universities and malls around the country. During World Space Week, the Space Bus will visit for free charity institutions, like orphanages, for three days.

Report Received: We have created the "Space Bus" in Brasil. It is an exposition about space activities in Brasil, in a ordinary bus, it is a road exposition for young students. The fee is R$3,00 (around US$1,20). This exposition was inaugurated in the end of september and in october around 3400 have visited it. For the Space Week we arranged a Bus visit (free) in two orphanages (one for girls and one for boys). This week we held the Space School, for high school students, here in INPE and the Space Bus will be here in a Shopping Center parking area, during five days.
