World Space Week 2006 Report The Canadian Space Agency participated in the IAC 2006 during World Space Week, facilitating the attendance of 20 Canadian students to the conference in Valencia. There was a presentation at SARSCENE 2006 in Gatineau called "Space to the Rescue" by Jim King, Director, Major Satellite Communications Programs at the Communications Research Centre. The presentation provided information for delegates on the latest developments in the international search and rescue satellite system. Mr. King brought satellite equipment for outdoor displays which were open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 7th. |
