During World Space Week, the Congress of the Organization of
Pioneers from Cuba carried out nighttime observations by Congress delegates.
The Fifth Workshop the Outer Space and its Peaceful Use was held.
World Space Week posters were distributed to numerous centers, museums, and schools
and to some delegates to the Congress.
The National Museum of Natural History organized with the help of amateur astronomers a session of
familiarization with Astronomy, that took place October 7 at night. This session was attended by more than 500 adults, many of them accompany by children.
During October 5-9 many radio stations broadcast information covering World Space Week
