Educational Awards

To encourage teachers and students to participate in World Space Week, we have again approached sponsors to provide $500 teacher grants for the most creative use of space in the classroom during World Space Week 2009!

How to Qualify: Use space creatively in the classroom during World Space Week, October 4-10.

How to Apply: Photographs, student projects, media clippings and any other scanned documents should be emailed to teacheraward@worldspaceweek.org. Videos should be put on YouTube. Please mention your name, school, age of your students, city, country and phone number as well as your Calendar Event ID.

When to Apply: Deadline for entry submission is 31st January 2010, giving time during end of year holidays.

Selection Criteria:

Teacher creativity in using space to teach academics
Quantity and quality of student impacts
Impact on the school, parents and the local community
Usability of the materials for future World Space Weeks
Quality of documentation (photos and video (on YouTube) are encouraged!)
