Event Name:  International Space Week
Event Description:  This event includes a School AND Public event. From Oct. 4-7th, 8th grade Earth Science students will lead space topic-related activities for the students in grades Pk-7. Activities will include observing the sun using a solar telescope, building UV bead bracelets, operating a Mars Rover using a computer program, building an edible Mars Rover, skyping with an astronomer from California, and making a scale model of the Solar System. The public event will occur on Oct. 8th, when the science teacher will be leading a Star Party for the public on a busy corner in downtown Rutland, VT
