| Event Description: | Sukacitanya dimaklumkan bahawa Agensi Angkasa Negara (ANGKASA) akan menganjurkan program Minggu Angkasa Sedunia 2016 bermula 4 hingga 10 Oktober 2016 di Planetarium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. Untuk makluman YBhg. Datuk/Dato’/Dr./Tuan/Puan, Minggu Angkasa Sedunia atau World Space Week merupakan sambutan global mengenai sains dan teknologi angkasa serta sumbangannya terhadap kemajuan manusia sejagat. Tema tahun ini “Remote Sensing: Enabling Our Future” menyerlahkan pelbagai misi pemerhatian Bumi dari angkasa (Earth Observation from Space) dan menekankan kepentingan pelbagai teknologi aplikasi satelit di kalangan masyarakat umum. Program ini diadakan bertujuan untuk memupuk kesedaran masyarakat mengenai kepentingan aplikasi teknologi angkasa dalam kehidupan seharian, di samping mendidik dan merangsang generasi muda untuk lebih memahami mengenai sains, teknologi, kejuruteraan dan matematik (STEM). Sehubungan dengan itu, ANGKASA berbesar hati ingin menjemput dan mengalu-alukan kehadiran YBhg. Dato’/Dr./Tuan/Puan bersama murid-murid sekolah, pelajar-pelajar universiti/ kolej/ IPG, ahli keluarga dan rakan-rakan untuk turut serta dalam aktiviti-aktiviti program yang tersenarai. | Report on the Results: | World Space Week (WSW) is celebrated every year in Malaysia. The National Planetarium recognizes the event as an important space program in the country and also the trust WSWA gives to the National Planetarium as a national coordinator of WSW in Malaysia. A variety of interesting activities were coordinated during the event to ensure the success of WSW2016 in Malaysia. The National Planetarium believe that the event is essential to raise public awareness about the importance and benefits that we could gain from space science and technology, in addition to stimulate and inspire young generation in the field science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
