| Report on the Results: | Mike Moore argues that those who support U.S. military domination of space in order to prevent other nations from doing likewise have it backwards. Other nations, now more interested in social and economic development than in more devastating wars, will be pushed into a space arms race, including space weaponization, because U.S. aggressive space policies force them to do so. He believes China was trying to warn the US of it own potential when it shot down an aging satellite. The U.S. should seize the current opportunities to negotiate new space law before it is too late. The rest of the world, including China and Russia, is ready to do so. |
