| Report on the Results: | On the last day of WSW, 10th of Oct, the Space Antennae Workshop was held by ISA in cooperation with Satellite communication group of Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC). The aim of this workshop was to introduce satellite antennae design and experts from ITRC, ISA, Iranian Space Research Center (ISRC), Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Management and Planning Organization of Iran (MPO), Iran Electronics Industries (IEI), and researchers from other space fields participated in this workshop. Main topics included: - space antennae development history - antenna design with space applications - reflective antennae with space applications - space antennae challenges in future missions - antenna for MicroSats Different technologies to realize GEO satellite antenna was introduced and important factors in designing and manufacturing of the satellite antenna such as satellite structure impact on antenna, antenna placement on the structure, space requirements considerations, materials used in space antennae, temperature analysis and temperature variations considerations, vibration considerations during launch, cosmic radiation noise impact and vacuum conditions and electrostatic discharge prevention methods were discussed. In addition, parabolic antenna design with defined shape, as well as reflective array antennae with pattern were explained. |
