| Event Description: | Since Angolan have in place a space strategy 2016-2025, and we are currently building ANGOSAT-2. There is a great interest in promoting the use of the space sector in its most versatile ways, at Primary and Secondary schools, as well as Higher level Institutes and Universities, by creating avenues for capacity building through knowledge transfer. From the 04th to the 09th of October, we intend to Interact with the academic Institutions, after prior contact with them to get them envolved in the activities, by using the following methodology: - For Primary School- use a book cartoon with space contents, plus some ideas that each school can adopt in their own institution; - For Secondary school- use Applications for Space Educations (These applicatiions were develop by our Institution, and can be easily downloaded on Android System) - For Universities- have them involved in building the first Angolan cansat with the help of our institution. On the 10th of October, have a closing event where we will invite all the Institutions that participated and have something to show as a result of the previous days of activities and make an exposition of the best works presented). on this particular day, we plan to host a closing ceremony and plan to invite also, high authorities, the media and other entities of great impact for our event. |

| Report on the Results: | We involved more than 30 Academic Institutions to participate in event from the 4th to the 10th of October, where: From the 4th to the 9th: - 12 Institutions from Primary school organized workshops, seminars related to space, using the book cartoon with space contents made by our institution as the guide to create other ideas and learn about space. - 22 Institutions from Secondary school organized events related to space in these schools based on the Application created for space education which the downloaded through our Institution's website. This was the guide for these academic Institutions to come up with other ideas and projects during the week. - About 6 Universities participated in the WSW by building alongside our Institution on the first Angolan CANSAT prototype, wchich from now on will be used by Universities and High Schools to enhance their studies on different fields of practice. On the 10th of October- we celebrated the WSW with a mega event which registerd more than 500 participants, including High level entities from different Ministries, General Directors from Different Organizations on the ICT field, Representatives of Academic Intitutions, media and so on. The event included: - 270- visitors - Exhibition of different projects space related made by up to 17 Institutions - Workshops for 300 students (150 for primary schools and 150 for secondary schools) - Demonstration of water rocket launch with the primary school children - Presentation of the Angolan CANSAT by the Angolan Secretary of State of Telecommunications who gave a kit to the Angolan Secretary of State of Science, Technology and innovation. |
