Event Name:	Astrobiology Extra Credit Poster Presentation
Event Description:	Astronomy B2 (ASTR B2) students can earn up to 10 extra credit points by making a poster 11x17 inches (no larger) on any of the following themes: • Optical Spectroscopy as an Approach to Astrobiology • The Nebular Theory • Geology’s Importance to Life • Radiometric Dating • Plate Tectonics & Life on Earth • Earth’s Magnetic Field & Habitability • The Green House Effect * Theory of Evolution The number of extra credit points will be determined by the professional appearance and content of the poster (no hand writing or drawing). Poster will be due by 1:00 pm Wednesday 10/10 in front of the main teaching building in the Delano campus location of Bakersfield College. Students can also earn up to 3 extra credit points by voting for their favorite poster with a valid reason written on the ballot along with their name. Posters will be displayed on tables in front of the main building. Ballots will be available on one of the tables. Voting will start on Monday 10/8 9:30 am and end on Wednesday10/10 by 1:00 pm.
