Event Name:  "Space, Telescopes and the Ingredients of Stars and Planets" - WSW18
Event Description:  In celebration of World Space Week 2018, the Dundee University Science Communication society is organizing a lecture given by Aurora Sicilia-Aguilar. "Astrophysics is a funny kind of physics: Our lab is the Universe. Our experiments usually consist of observations. The only interaction we get with our test objects is observing the light that comes from them. And in many cases, they are so distant, that most of the interesting features cannot be imaged even with the most powerful telescopes! In my talk we will see forming star and planets through the eyes of different telescopes. I will explain what we can learn from combining space- and ground-based observations to beat the limits of spatial resolution, and how we can investigate the building blocks of stars and planets to understand where and how our Solar System originated."
