Event Description:  Space stations -- Get your hands on some real moon samples, investigate space rocks and learn more about our solar system - and beyond! Imagine what its like to be a real astronaut by dressing up in space suits or packing for an extraterrestrial adventure. Visit the live science zone for lots of fun space related activities throughout the week.

Report on the Results:  These engaging hands-on activities, artefacts and demonstrations were seen by approximately 1300 people, including school and public visitors. From vacuum experiments and rocket building to a lifesize model of the Beagle 2 space probe and real moon and meterorite samples, the activities were designed to allow investigation and exploration. Media coverage was generated with local press, radio and TV coverage. The events were also listed in two national newspapers. (The media impression below is an estimate of local newspaper coverage).
