Event Name:  Illinois Space Day
Event Description:  Illinois Space Day (ISD) is an educational outreach event open to K-8 students throughout Illinois and is geared towards opening their eyes to space. This year, at ISD, over 150 students attended and were able to work on hands on projects, like building a lander and pool noodle rockets. The participants were also able to tour interactive exhibits from different organizations related to space around campus and hear from a special keynote speaker, a launch engineer.
