| Report on the Results: | The national coordinator of World Space Week Association for the republic of Korea, Young Astronauts Korea has managed a few events on the web and off-line from early October to 10th October. These events are to celebrate the World Space Week 2010. 1.On-Line: Space Puzzle(from 4 October to 10 October) The space related puzzle and information have been carried out on the website www.yak.or.kr (homepage of Young Astronauts Korea) to let people know the meaning of the world space week as many as possible. 2.Off-Line: Model Rocket Launch Contest(on 9 October) On 9 Oct, Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI) and Young Astronauts Korea(YAK) hosted National Model Rocket Contest and 8,000 students around the country have come together to build and launch their own rocket. The festival gave lots of young participants a hopeful dream for the space and to become future scientists to develop the space peacefully. 3.Off-Line: Space Olympic(During the October) During the October, Young Astronauts Korea hosted annual space festival “Space Olympic” around 13 regions. Thousands of students joined at various competitions such as water rocket, glider, air balloon, etc. Parents also joined the festival and had great fun with the children. |
