Event Name:  IKI Doors Open Day
Event Description:  Doors Open Day at Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (aka IKI) is a public event held on first Saturday after October 4 for middle-, high-school and university students and everyone interested in space. Visitors are invited to IKI's exhibition and popular lectures. Special guest of this year — Russian poet Lev Oborin who would present his new book for preschool children "Solar System" and answer questions about modern space exploration together with IKI's scientists. The event starts at 12 p.m. The entrance is free. Doors Open Day is a part of Space Science Days, an annual event held by IKI to commemorate the launch of Sputnik.

Report on the Results:  IKIs Doors Open Day 2019 included two separate programs. The first one was two lectures for middle- and high-school audience, dedicated to monitoring forests from space and seeking water on Mars. The second part was poetical event with Lev Oborin, the literary critic and poet, who presented his book "Solar System" for children and their parents. "Scientific comments" to the lecture were made by IKI's researcher Denis Belyaev.
