| Report on the Results: | When did people dream of flying to the blue sky?... and when did that dream come true? Who is the father of rocket? Who invented the airplane? Have you ever heard of Space Age and Space Race? More and many questions wonder how we would conquer the space?... The seminar on 'History of Space Discovery', organised by Ho Chi Minh City Amateur Astronomy Club (HAAC) was a great choice to look for the answers. 2011 is marked in history of human by the 50th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. The American shuttle team also "retired" this year. Luna, Apollo.. ISS, Mir.. Soyuz and the "bigbrother" Vostok.. all of those familiar name would remind all of us about the challenging but glorious period of the Space Race, as part of history of our beloved Earth. The seminar also revealed the secrets behind the Second World War which changing our world and unlock the suspicions on Apollo missions. Participants also watched documentary film about Tsiolkovsky, who initiated the ideas for launching spaceship; other exploring campaigns, landing missions; and the evolution of rockets as part of that achievements. The seminar gained attractions from Muc Tim Magazine (a publication for highschool students), Phap Luat TP.HCM newspaper, Khoa Hoc & Doi Song (Science & Life, online version is http://www.bee.net.vn), Sai Gon Tiep Thi Film (SGTT Film). Free entrance also enhanced the fire of Vietnamese youngsters and astronomy enthusiasts, ones who love the sky and dream of flying to the mysterious universe.
