| Report on the Results: | SRCAS - World Space Week 2020 celebrations "Space Week 2020" was celebrated at Dept of Physics, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on behalf of World Space Week Association. More than 200 college and more than 80 school students participated online under the theme "Satilities Improves Life " and participated enthusiastically in Elocution , Essay Writing , Quizzes, Pencil Sketching and PPT . Coimbatore Government College student R. Pooja, Sri Ramakrishna College student S.D. Sai sri won the first two places in elocution respectively. Avinashilingam Women's Education Institute student G. Sharmila and AVP Manila School student G. Kavya took first and second place in Pencil sketch. Sri Ramakrishna College students R. Padmapriya and K. Priyanka won the first two places in the PPT. Nirmala Women's College student Hepsiba and G. Aishwarya of SRCAS won the first two places in essay writing. NM Afzal Mohammad, a student of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and S.Soumi Priscilla, a student of St. Joseph Matriculation School won the first two places in the quiz competition. Also Jharkhand State, BA College of Engineering student Durgesh Sahu enthusiastically participated in all the competitions and won the special prize. The first place winners were given Rs.1000 and the second place winners were given Rs.500 respectively. Certificates were also presented to all who attended. The participants also thanked the Principal and Secretary of the College, PL Sivakumar, who gave permission for the event, and Dr. Henna Revathi, Head of the Department of Science, who gave the congratulations, Dr. S. Poonguzhali, Head of the Department who made the arrangements, the dignitaries and the administration. |
