| Event Description: | Vromi, an adventure and tourism organization will arrange a stargazing event to celebrate World Space Week 2020. It will be held at the bank of the Ichamati river near Dhaka city. About 30 people are going to join. The participants will attend a lecture on stargazing techniques and then an observing session will follow. A quiz will also be held and the winners would get prizes. The campsite is mostly free from light pollution, so it is a good place for stargazing. The hope is to make the young people enthusiastic about astronomy and space in general and encourage them to be more involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). |
