Event Name:  Space Education for Emerging Space Countries
Event Description:  What can educators do in emerging space countries to empower the youth and future generations to come, especially girls - in providing access to quality Space Education so they can also be a part of the future space economy? Most importantly, why should educators support Space Education and what is its relevance to our daily lives? What can you teach about space and how can you incorporate space as a content to teach your students within your STEAM curriculum? What are space technology applications and how does it relate to our sustainability on planet Earth and climate change monitoring? How does space research relates to the developments in the medical world, material science, agriculture, food, cancer and osteoporosis? Why is it crucial to educate the youth on space data and inspire them to become space data scientists as a future career option? In this Space Education for Emerging Space Countries session, we will be featuring distinguished female speakers who will be sharing their knowledge, expertise and wisdom from their experience in the space industry and also sharing why teaching Space Education is important not only for their kids but also for the future generations to come. We will elaborate the importance and the benefits of space technology for humankind and for future space explorations, so civilization on Earth could thrive as well as our grandeur effort in becoming a multi-planetary species. As educators, we are responsible to not only inspire and educate, to be a role model, but also to equip them with the knowledge, wisdom and skills that they need in the future. Since it is an indisputable fact that Space is the Future, we can only hope that you will also join us on this journey in preparing and advancing humanity to the next level. We look forward to your participation in Women in Space webinar series. ************************************************** DATE: Saturday, 9 October 2021 TIME: 14:00 WIB (GMT+7) 11:00 AM Dubai 09:00 AM CEST 15:00 Bali, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur SESSION SUITABLE FOR: K-12 and University Educators, Parents, Edupreneurs, Commercial Companies, Media, and general public PANEL OF SPEAKERS: Lynette Tan (Chief Executive, Singapore Space and Technology Ltd.)
