Event Name: | 4th Polish-Wide Conference of Contributors and Fans in the ARISS Educational Program |
Event Description: | The Conference is a meeting where not experienced people can be kept in touch with people having experience in the field of the ARISS contacts. It is a good time to learn more about the space, the ISS and HAM radio contacts between children and crew members on the board of the ISS. The ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crew members on the board the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities can see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crew members on the ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology and learning. The ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, the Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries. |

EarthKAM gallery made by pupils of Complex School in Kolo(where the past WSW event took place) was available for participants of the conference and then for the public. Moreover, there was a lot of information for teachers about educational programs connected with education, astronomy, STEM. There was also information in a nutshell about HAM radio including: microwave techniques, HQ digital TV, amateur radio communications possibilities, APRS – an amateur real time tactical public system.
