| Event Description: | All events take place at Centro Multimeios de Espinho during the first weekend of October (Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th). 1. Planetarium Show (live) | 15:30 | ~50min. | “Viagem Pelos Planetas / Voyage Through the Planets” plus exhibition of the full dome short “HERA” , general audience: our regular voyage across the planets of the Solar System will count with the exhibition of “HERA” a 5-minute preview for the ESA space mission that will be launched – during this year’s space week - towards the binary asteroid system Didymos + Dimorphos (the last, reached by the DART probe in September 2022). --- 2. Planetarium Show ”Planeia a Tua Missão” | Design A Mission | 16h30 | ~50 min., general audience: in which it is the public who decides the script for the planetarium session! This is a live session, with immersive animations, where people participate to decide and vote on the details of a space robot, which planet they will visit and how they will do it. The choices do count and even change the course of the session, so if you visit us on both Saturday and Sunday the session may have some different details or even be a different experience! |

| Report on the Results: | Despite the heavy rain during all the weekend of 5th and 6th October, the Planetarium of Espinho counted with 137 visitors. On saturday, 5th: Voyage across the Planets at 15:30 (39), Build Your Mission at 16:30 (25). On sunday, 6th: Voyage across the Planets at 15:30 (46), Build Your Mission at 16:30 (27). Visitors were from all ages and backgrounds and were all enthusiastic and participative in these live planetarium sessions, with a strong interactive component. Both sessions had an introduction adapted to this year's World Space Week theme - Space and Climate Change - as well updates about the missions Hera (ESA) and Europa Clipper (NASA). Multiple impressions across physical / digital flyers, official sites and social media of Espinho Municipality, Centro Multimeios and Planetário de Espinho, World Space Week Portugal / WSW2024, Viral Agenda, etc. |
