World Space Week 2006 Report
Due to national holidays, World Space Week was limited to two days. However, in this short timeframe, the following activities were held:
- Ten public stargazing events nation wide;
- Special event at the leading space related web forum including host of professionals from Israel space industry;
- The chairman of the Israeli Space Society participated the International Astronautical Congress in Valencia, Spain, and gave 3 lectures, 2 of them on
space education;
- Space curricula materials was sent to 200 schools nation wide;
- A Special seminar was held in cooperation with the Fisher Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies, on issues related to space security and
control.
Israel plans a spectacular celebration of World Space Week 2007, the 50th anniversary of the Space Age.
