Jeffrey J. "Jeff" Faszcza is a Principal at Catalyst Partners, where he applies more than 32 years experience in managing multidisciplinary projects that
encompass broad strategic issues and require precise technical execution. Jeff has direct management experience in government relations, business development, program management, manufacturing and finance,
having applied and honed his skills in both the domestic and international space, defense, aeronautics and homeland security markets.
Before retiring from United Technologies Corporation (UTC), Hamilton
Sundstrand Division in 2009, Jeff served as the Executive Director of Hamilton Sundstrand's Washington, DC Operations, responsible for managing the corporation's activities and developing market strategies for both
government affairs and commercial business. As Hamilton Sundstrand's representative in Washington DC, Jeff oversaw the Congressional lobbying associated with legislative and policy matters for the
company. He also served as representative to the agencies of the US Government, in particular the Department of Defense (DOD), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS), and the Department of Energy (DOE). He also served as Executive Director of Business Development and was the single-point contact to other locally-based major corporations, suppliers
and trade associations.
In 2003, Jeff established United Technologies Corporation's Office for Homeland Security in response to the post 9/11 creation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He
organized and led the UTC team created to assess market opportunities for the Corporation's security technologies, recommending solutions for creating growth through innovation while remaining
competitive.
Prior to joining the UTC Washington office, Jeff served as General Manager of the joint venture company "HS-Nauka," Hamilton Sundstrand's commercial aircraft component design and manufacturing
business located in Moscow, Russia. In the early 90's, he led the development of the company's business strategy in Russia, working closely with the U.S. and Russian governments and industry. In this
role, he organized and negotiated programs on behalf of NASA with the Russian space agency and supporting industries. He also served as Hamilton Sundstrand's Manager of International Operations, overseeing the
daily interaction of their European subsidiaries, managing and directing technical operations, programs execution, strategic planning, technology innovation and development and financial performance to ensure the
viability of the companies.
He has been a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce Industry and Trade Advisory Committee on Aerospace Equipment (ITAC), as well as serving on numerous corporate boards,
steering committees and trade associations in the Washington DC area.
A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master's Degree in business management, Jeff has also completed advanced studies at
the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia.
