WSWA Chairman – Max Grimard

Max GrimardMax Grimard is the Chairman of the Board of World Space Week Association since 2010, where he represents Airbus Defence and Space, which has been a donor to the Association since 2002.

Max has always been working in the space business and accumulated 20 year of experience in space engineering and project management, mainly focused on launchers, human space flight and exploration. For the last 14 years he has been active in corporate management, strategy, business development and innovation. Max developed a strong international network, through membership in various IAF Technical Committees (Space Station, Industry Relations, Entrepreneurship and Investment), and is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). Max developed a special interest in new business models for space, and the perception and image of space activities with the public and decision makers. He published several papers on these topics.

In 2008 Max implemented a coordinated process for the celebration of World Space Week by the employees of Airbus Defence and Space, leading today to about 300 people addressing over 20,000 young pupils, students and public in 5 countries (France, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain and the Netherlands) every year. Max graduated from French engineering school “Sup Aero”.
