Photo Submission

All World Space Week participants are encouraged to share videos and photos of World Space Week events. Prior to uploading, please prepare as follows:

  • Obtain the Event ID of your event(s) in the World Space Week calendar.  Simply search for your country and year, click "detail," and note the Event ID at the top of the page. Do this for each event for which you will upload photos. If your event is not in the World Space Week calendar, please first add it.
  • Obtain the password to the World Space Week Flickr site from your National Coordinator or from Loïc Diels, Please include your Event ID(s) in your email.

After this preparation, please upload your event photos or videos as follows:

  1. Go to flickr.com.
  2. Click "Sign in" at the top right. (If you previously logged into a Yahoo site, you may first need to log off from Yahoo.)
  3. Enter username "wsw_2008a" and password (see note above to obtain password)
  4. Click "Upload Photos or Videos'"
  5. Click "Choose Photos or Videos"
  6. Browse to the photo or video on your computer, select it, and click "Open"
  7. To add an additional photo or video, click "Add More" and repeat step 6.
  8. Click "Upload Photos and Videos"
  9. Click "add a description"
  10. Select your country in the "Add to Set" pull-down menu. (If your country does not appear in the list, click "Create a Set" and follow the procedure shown.)
  11. In the "Description" field, enter the Event ID of your event. Optionally, after the Event ID, you may add information about this photo.
  12. Click "Save".

Optionally, you can also add your photos to a world map. To do so, select a photo in Flickr, click "Add to Map," and follow the instructions.
