Join the largest annual public space event on Earth!
Your organization can participate in the celebration of World Space Week each October 4-10. By holding events linked to World Space Week, you will leverage the widespread public
and media attention surrounding the largest annual public space event on Earth.
Participation is especially important as we approach World Space Week 2007, which will be the 50th anniversary of the Space Age. Plan now to participate.
Here is how to celebrate World Space Week:
1) Schedule space-related activities for the 4-10 October timeframe. Click here for ideas. Programs can be for any audience, such as the public, employees, government leaders, the media, teachers, or students. See also our materials for schools. These programs can be:
- Existing programs planned for 4-10 October
- Existing programs rescheduled to 4-10 October
- New programs created especially for World Space Week
2) Before World Space Week, publicize these activities. Use the World Space Week name and logo into your publicity materials. Coordinate with other World Space Week participants in your area and your national coordinator. Email admin@worldspaceweek.org about your plans so that we can also help promote your events.
3) After World Space Week, credit your organization in the UN World Space Week Annual Report by e-mailing a report on what took place and photographs to admin@worldspaceweek.org by November 15.
