One of the highlights of 2009 is
Thanks to SentForever.com
anyone can "Send a SMS into Space!". You don't need a mobile phone, but like a normal SMS the message
is limited to 300 characters. Go visit their website
and fill in the required details. Here are some important tips.
For classrooms only SentForever gave us 10 special
packages which means you can send ANYTHING you want into space as long as the message is limited to 2 Mb. Photos, videos,
audio, drawings, songs, music, whatever you can think of.
Send us your creative messages by email to: sentforever @ worldspaceweek.org
before October 10th 23.59 UTC and we will send them as part of the official start of UN-declared World Space Week to space.
We have compiled supporting documentation for teachers that want to explain
to their students: speed of light, distances in our Solar Sytem and in the Universe.
