In 2007, World Space Week was celebrated in space for the first time:

  • During World Space Week 2007, Bigelow Aerospace projected the World Space Week logo onto its Genesis orbiting space station this week and beamed down the photo below. 
  • Also, Malaysian astronaut Dr. Sheikh, who was launched October 10 to the International Space Station, plans to speak about World Space Week while in Earth orbit.
