US space leaders celebrated World Space Week at a special reception held at the Cosmos Club on October 25, 2006. This gala event was sponsored by the U.S. GPS Industry Council.
NASA Associate Administrator Rex Greveden and White House OSTP Assistant Director for Space and Aeronautics Robie Samanta Roy gave welcoming remarks. Courtney Stadd, Master of
Ceremonies, was honored for his two years' service as Chair of World Space Week Association. Also speaking were Michael Swiek, Executive Director of the U.S. GPS Industry Council and Association President
Dennis Stone.
