World Space Week Theme

Each year, the World Space Week Association selects a theme for the upcoming World Space Week (WSW). The theme for 2012, “Space for Human Safety and Security”, celebrated the many ways in which satellites improve our daily lives. The theme for 2013, "Exploring Mars - Discovering Earth," will feature how exploring the Red Planet helps us understand ourselves and the world in which we live.

WSW event organizers are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their activities and promotional materials. Further details about last year’s theme can be found here.  To see the history of World Space Week themes, please click here
