| Event Description: | This year WSW celebration in Kenya is coordinated and sponsored by Kenya National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovations (NACOSTI). Other partners (both Government and private) involved and are supporting in kind, including; University of Nairobi; LocateIT Ltd; The Travelling Telescope; Ministry of Lands; Ministry of Defense among others. (A). Key addresses. 5th October 2016 – Key note addresses on space science covering: space science, space science trends and opportunities; space science capacity building; practical use/case studies of space based applications. (B). Outreach activities in schools – planetarium sessions, stargazing and start party. 5th October 2016 – “I can fly Academy” in Machakos county 6th October 2016 - Scholastica Primary school and Braeburn school 6th October 2016 – Hillcrest International School |
