Event Description: | 8:30 pm Terra Bella (formerly Skybox Imaging) set out in 2009 to change the game in Earth Imagery satellites by using COTS hardware, innovative imaging technology, and a new risk philosophy. Seven years later, now under Google, they operate the world’s largest commercial fleet of high resolution imaging satellites. This talk will discuss the Terra Bella journey with a focus on the flight operations engineering required to commission and fly a low Earth orbit constellation. Ms. Emma Lehman leads the Flight Operations team at Google in Mountain View, California.
