| Event Description: | Friday, NUS LT7a Friday, Science Centre Singapore Observatory Classroom Saturday, 7 pm, Tan Chin Tuan Lecture Theatre, Yale-NUS The global privatisation of space, so-called "NewSpace," provides unprecedented access to outer space for the average citizen. Whether through the use of GPS, weather prediction, or broadband television, our lives are heavily intertwined with space tech today. In the next few years we will continue to develop as a space-faring species, with missions to explore the Moon, to mine asteroids, and to fly to Mars. Mr. Ishvinder Singh Sandhu and Dr. Bidushi Bhattacharya will discuss NewSpace, entrepreneurship, and the "Laptop to LaunchPad" approach to developing innovative technologies for space. |
