| Event Description: | A group of ambitious students from Leiden University is building a garden on Mars, and you can now adopt your own plant in it! Mars seems within reach. NASA, for example, hopes to set foot on Mars in the coming ten to fifteen years, and SpaceX maybe even in six to eight years. However, once on Mars, how will we survive on the planet? For example, how will we grow crops in Martian soil, since this is highly toxic? Our team of enthusiastic students is working on a solution: E. colinizer, the bacterium that will detoxify Mars!
