| Event Description: | 08:30pm-10:00pm The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao presents Chasmata, a show which merges art and science in a totally novel way and one of the main features in the celebrations of the Museum’s 20th anniversary. Chasmata is a free event offered in conjunction with BBK, with the cooperation of the European Space Agency (ESA). It will bring the public on a journey into space through never-before-seen pictures of the planet Mars and the participation of the ESA astronaut Pedro Duque, the only Spaniard to participate in two missions to the International Space Station. Pedro Duque will act as the master of ceremonies at one of the peak moments in the evening prior to the last musical piece, and he will share with the entire world a very special audiovisual message about the Museum’s anniversary from the astronaut Paolo Nespoli, who is currently at the ISS. |
