| Event Description: | Iranian Space Agency has organized "Workshop on Registration, Coordination and Bringing Into Use of Satellite Networks" on 9th of Oct. 2017. | Report on the Results: | On Sunday 8th of Oct 2017, a Workshop on Registration, Coordination and Brining into Use of Satellite Networks was held by ISA at the Ministry of ICT. Goals of this workshop include: • Orbital- frequency resource management by responsible national and international organizations • Explaining the position of ISA in interacting with applicants of operation satellite networks • Criteria for obtaining national and international licenses for the operation of satellite networks • Necessity of operating satellite networks without interference and its related regulations • Recent technologies in registration and bringing into use/operating geosynchronous and non-geosynchronous satellite networks • Bandwidths, challenges of developing applications and spatial services and the role of space technologies • Software development in determining frequency interference and fixing it. Main topics include: • Satellite network registration: regulations and process of obtaining and registering national and international satellite networks, method of interaction with applicants in order to undertake the operation of national orbital-frequency resources • Technical and frequency coordination of satellite networks: frequency interference, identification and calculation, interference mitigation techniques, cited documents and references, frequency coordination criteria, coordination process and current status of taken agreements from different countries • Applications and services of communication satellites • Specific satellite networks softwares: International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) specific softwares and national softwares with application in Design, Registration and Coordination of satellite networks, how to use and communicate with ITU databases, documents and references used to design these softwares |
