Report on the Results:  World Space Week – 2018 celebration By National Space Society (USA) – Nashik India Chapter in association with Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Nashik Invitation for Inaugural Function Program Schedule for the Week Essay, Poster & Model competitions were held in two categories Junior group – 8th to 12th grade students Senior group – Engineering, polytechnic & vocational courses students Themes for competitions No. Topic 1 Space Unites the World 2 Exploration and Settlement on Moon / Mars 3 Space Mineral Resources 4 Farmer in The Sky 5 Handling of Space Debris 6 Space Transportation 7 Space Solar Power Participants Essays – Junior Group – 63 Senior Group – 38 Posters – Junior Group – 57 Senior Group – 41 Models – Junior Group – 39 Senior Group – 12 Senior Group students response was less due to their exams during the competition period The jury members for all the three competitions were highly qualified & experienced persons in the aerospace field. Prizes in the form of book, certificate & specially designed memento were given to top 5 winners in each category in each competition. It was presented in a Prize distribution ceremony on 10th October 2018.
