Satellites and their importance for communications between people on different continents. 14:00 - Dumitru Prunariu - the Romanian astronaut Hands-on activities 8:00 - Building rockets Visits and field trips: 9:00 - Planetarium |

| Report on the Results: | Students aged 14-15 years old took part in discussions and debates regarding the first artificial satellite Sputnik 1 and the importance of this moment for the development of communication through satellites. (25 students) Students aged 18-19 years old had the opportunity to visit the Planetarium inside the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy where they saw constellations like Orion and the Summer Triangle. They also had the opportunity to see the Sun trajectory during a years' length from Earth.(55 students) A mixed group of students from all the classes involved participated to debates and discussions with specialist in the filed of Astronomy at Museum Complex of Natural Sciences. (25 students) Groups of students (5-6 students per group) with an interest in hands-on activities built rockets and launched them. (having fun with science) (40 students) |
