| Report on the Results: | The 63 8th grade students from Secondary School “Ioan Vlăduţiu” Luduş, Mureş County, Romania, have discussed about terraforming Mars with the help of "Mars Trilogy" books by Kim Stanley Robinson. The writer has done a realistically imagine the development of human life on other planets. At the beginning the students have discussed about the main concepts that describe the planets who forms the Solar System and the conditions necessary for human life. Then they investigated the planets from Solar System using WorldWideTelescope. The knowledge they have gained helped them to reach a final conclusion - wich planet is suitable for human colonization (Mars). After that they set out the main stages for terraforming Mars, starting from Kim Stanley Robinson's books. |
