| Event Name: | Space Unites the World |
| Event Description: | Astronomical centre Rijeka will hold events and special evening programs during October 4-10 and join&promote the World Space Week. For wide public there will be presented the NEW extraordinary planetarium live show "Made in Space", dadicated to the the World Space Week 2018 Theme – Space Unites the World. This interactive presentation will introduce the wider public to how space research can affect everyday's life. Many products in your home, and beyond, exist because of the advancement of technology and the research of the Universe. These inventions have changed our daily life making it better and more enjoyable. Today we use products that you did not even admit that they are the result of that technology and these extensions. Through this short presentation we will introduce you to some of these products. During the World Space Week the exhibition „We love rockets“ will be opened in the planetarium. There will be displayed models of different satellites and rockets, student drawings and other replicas. The week program of the Astronomical centre Rijeka will be dedicated to the Space research and presented from Tuesday to Saturday to a large public. For the youngest on Saturday 6th october at 11 and 12 am in the planetarium will be presented live show "The first look at the sky" and the film „Race to Earth“. Live shows "Solar System Safari" (Thuesday at 6 pm), „Space Missions“ Wednesday at 7 pm., "A Guide to the Night Sky – Autumn" (Fridays at 7 pm.) and films "Touchig the Edge of the Universe" (Fridays at 8.30 pm), "Planets in Sight" (Wednesdays at 7,30 pm) and "Back for the Moon: for Good" (Saturdays at 7.30 pm). During the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday on the program are planetarium shows for the kindergarten, elementary and high school children. |
