Event Name: | "Science for Fun" activity programme for First Year Students |
Event Description: | Students are introduced to the maths side of the Junior Cert Science Curriculum (Force Acceleration Gravity Newtons Laws Mass Volume etc.) by engaging in space related activities in the Science room. The background is set around the Apollo missions to the Moon in the 1960's and students build and decorate their own water rockets which we launch on the school pitch at the end of the programme. The programme actually runs over 3 weeks with three double class periods and with the help of teachers and parents. |
