Report on the Results: | World Space Week 2019 Report Nobles International School celebrated World Space Week with great enthusiasm, it was an event all our students and teachers from both, Girls and Boys, were look forward to. This year we observed it successfully under the theme “The Moon: Gateway to the Stars” from October 4 till October 10. The observation of the event was educational yet entertaining to the audience. The highlight of the event was being recognized by the official team of the World Space Week, and getting our event posted on the official social accounts of WSW. From the 4th of October, the school observed the event through the social media. Then for a full week, the school activated the event in the morning assembly for four days, each day observing different topics; Day1: Topic: Overview of the Space Week and Significance of the celebration, Day2: Topic: Space in Quran, Day3: Topic: Achievement of Mankind in the field of Space, and Day4: Three Arab Astronauts. Students of all the grades, attended Space Cinema which involved two educational topics: Topic: Space and Solar System for lower grade students, while the higher grade students attended Topics: Space from Cosmic Eye and Life in Space. Students of Grades 9-12 volunteered to execute scientific space experiments by using resources from the World Space Week website to the remaining grades. Students also constructed models and projected them to the audience, some of the projects revolved around Solar System and Phases of the Moon, Rockets in space, Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse, and Pertaining to satellites. The last days of WSW observation was planned by the higher grades and the science department celebrating their achievement in the program: where they set up space stations in the school to display different corners elements of space: Earth, NASA, Rocket, Moon, Planets, Stars, and space in Quran. At the Girls Section, students displayed their creative side in the Glow in the Dark fashion show, where teams designed glowing dresses. Last but not least, the Kindergarten World Space Week was based on Steam Application where students learned about crescent and recognition of colors Black & White. We thank the activity committee, IT department, and the Science department for a well-planned week which educated, entertained and gained us international recognition! |
