Event Name:  ESTEC Open Tour Day
Event Description:  ESTEC will be opening its doors to the public on Sunday 9 October. Amid rising interest in Andre Kuipers’ upcoming ISS flight, members of the public have been invited to come and see where the Dutch astronaut works, and where most European space projects are born and guided through their various stages of development. Free guided tours lasting 90 minutes will be leaving SpaceExpo, ESTEC’s visitor centre, every half an hour between 1100 and 1530 on Sunday. Tours leaving on the hour will include the Test Centre, a 3D tour of ISS and the Telerobotics Laboratory. Tours leaving on the half hour will visit the Large Diameter Centrifuge instead of the Telerobotics Laboratory. Pre-registration is possible at, indicating the names and the preferred times (minimum age for children is 9 years).
