| Report on the Results: | This year, teachers of “Decebal” National College (Șipoș Raul, Ciortea Simina, Stănculescu Sorin) together with students from the classes which they teach have carried out plenty of activities related to this topic. Presentations were made by students ranging from 7 th to 12 th grade. The students from the 7 th to the 9th grade have made models of lunar space stations and then presented their projects to their classmates. 10th to 12th graders were presented moments from the space race from the 1960s to the 1970s in the form of Power Point presentations or films that also included the Apollo 11 mission with the moment of the landing. There were 18 classes involved with approximately 450 students. In these activities the students documented themselves in order to make models of lunar settlements as interesting as possible and they presented argumentations in front of their colleagues for the choices made in the construction of the models. In their presentations about the space race the students were presented with the role of conquering the cosmic space in the evolution of human knowledge, the role of the moment of the first Moon landing, the important moments of the competition between the space powers of the moment, the US and the USSR, about the emergence of new space competitors such as China, Japan, ESA - European Space Agency and Israel. New space projects were presented, such as Elon Musk's Space X, in which private investors are involved, who relaunched the space race with human crews by lowering costs, re-launching rockets, or proposing daring projects of reconquering the Moon and then of getting to Mars with human crews. "The Moon: Gateway to the Stars" from which results the special interest given by young people and not only to scientific and technical topics with a special impact on the evolution of humanity.
