| Event Description: | Inauguration: Chief guest Principal Prof.Akhtar Rasul, participants 150, presentation on previous wsw achievements, astronauts tableau and Principal address Dated on 04 Oct,2019. Spacewalk: No of students 200 with Space banners walked in Base premises. Painting Competition: first competition on 04 Oct and finally conducted on 07 Oct 2019 .90 Students from class 3 to 5 took part in it from which we select 60 for the final competition.Wareesha from 3B was winner and Mubeen form 5th A was runner up. Mrs OC Security was invited as a judge. Declamation Contest: First conducted on 5th Oct then finally on 7th Oct 2019.16 students from class 9th and 10 took part in first competition then 12 selected for final declamation, Judge was vice Principal. 3D Model Making: the First event held on 5th Oct final competition organized on 8th Oct 2019, In the first competition, 20 students took part in it and 12 went to final phase.teams comprised of class 6th and 7th.. The first prize went to went to Hashim and Mussab and 2nd prize went to Ayyan and Mohid. Wing Commander Fahad and Flight L Shahid were invited as judges. Quiz Competition:The first round of Intra-House Quiz Competition was held on 5th Oct, 2019 at the College Auditorium. 6 teams comprising of four students from each House participated in the contest out of which 05 teams were selected for the final round (section based) held on 9th October, 2019 at College hall Mrs Base Commander was invited as judge accompanied by a physics lecturer. Laiba Ahmed and Eman Fatima from class 8th B stood first while Mahnoor and Madiha stood 2nd from class 8th A . g) Space Studio Space studio created for young kids photoshoot as astronaut and aliens. Students from class prep to two took part in it. They prepared a tableau for opening and closing ceremony of space week and also contributed their photoshoot for the awareness of the space program. For this purpose activity room was decorated like space. h) Space Theater Students from the college section arranged this activity for their section. In space theatre, they run different science fiction based films which were the great contribution regarding space awareness. Space Theater was conducted consecutive 4 days from 7th Oct to 10 Oct 2019. Gravity was watched by 800 students from class 6th to 12th at Minhas Base auditorium. Other movies which students run in college hall on multimedia were “Installer, Star trek(1-2-3), Event Horizon, Prometheus”.i) Space Presentations Research based presentations were also delivered to college classes by students and beneficial answer question session was organized under physics and math’s lecturers. The participants share their research on space with their classmates, activity was held at the library from 5th to 9th Oct 2019. Presentation topics were “The beginning of the Universe, Stellar formation and life cycles, Planet formation and Galaxy formation, types and differences”. j) Space Assembly Space assemblies were conducted from 4 Oct to 9th Oct,2019 and small speeches were delivered about space information. The purpose of this activity was to spread information and awareness regarding space among all students and arouse the interest in space. Different houses performed this activity on their assembly turn. K) Prize Distribution Ceremony Prize Distribution Ceremony was the last of the events held during the World Space Week. This ceremony was arranged to celebrate the achievements of students who won the competitions held during the week and to commemorate the efforts of World Space Week team. The prize distribution ceremony was held on the 10th of Oct, 2019. Air Commodore Shahid M Jehangiri Base commander air Base Minhas was invited as chief guest. Closing ceremony starts with the recitation of Quran verses. A tableau “Aliens in space” performed by young stars. SUPARCO documentary and a sum-up presentation of World Space Week was presented during the ceremony. Cash prizes and certificates distributed among the winner students. In the end, the Base Commander addressed to the students and appreciated their efforts and achievements. |

| Report on the Results: | We conducted 4 events at our college from class 3 to 10th.painting competition organized from 3 to 5th, model making from 6th to 7th, quiz competition from class 8th and speech competition from class 9th and 10th. We celebrated it with full enthusiasm. Students did different competition and awareness activities for the whole week. It involved almost 800 students in WSW 2019.All winning students award by a cash prize and merit certificates by Base Commander. We share this event on social media with different groups. They come to know by our sharing of WSW and create enthusiasm among them next year they will also be the part of it. From the Facebook community, hundreds of people get involved in it. The whole school was the audience of all events. But specifically, 800 students were involved in different activities . |
