| Event Description: | On Saturday, October 6th, The Cradle of Aviation Museum will celebrate our 5th Annual Fall World Astronomy Day! As part of our celebration members of the Amateur Observers Society of New York will provide: children's workshops, outdoor solar telescope viewing, and invite guests to discover the night skies and hear the stories of the constellations in our Star Lab. Time: 12:00 Noon - 4:00 pm Also on World Astronomy Day, The Cradle of Aviation Museum will celebrate the opening of our Sky Theater Planetarium! High-powered computers and processors will drive six digital projectors to treat audiences to realistic close-up views of star fields and planets and take them on exhilarating flights through virtual recreations of the universe. Our Sky Theater Planetarium will take you on a virtual tour of the universe as you've never seen before! Time: Planetarium shows can be viewed hourly and will be based on a selection of shows |
