Event Name:  Universe charm and mysteries
Event Description:  Physics Club “Atom” from the High School "Armand Calinescu" Pitesti organizes the following activities: October 4-7, 2012 - we’re gonna watch a movie about the constellations in the Universe at the Planetarium from Pitesti; Monday, October 8, 2012 at 13 pm at the school’s centre of documentation and information: exhibition of posters, graphic works and painting done by students - Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 12 pm, at the school’s Centre of Documentation and Information: presentation of essays and scientific papers in a Power Point format about the next subject “Universe charm and mysteries”. Among the essays and papers the students will recite poems about sun, stars, Universe and will listen astral music.

Report on the Results:  For World Space Week, 4-10 October 2012 I have popularized the event by posting and emails sent to students and teachers. Is the third edition of the activities for World Space Week in our school. 26 students were actively involved in the development of PowerPoint presentations, graphics and decorations for Documentation and Information Centre, with the space theme. Monday, October 8, 2012, students have arranged graphic works and ornaments in the Documentation and Information Center. In these activities, students were coordinated by teachers Mrs Rodica Stanescu and Mrs Diana Duţu. Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 11 students presented their works in Power Point Presentations at the Documentation and Information Center. This activity was attended by 38 students and 7 teachers. The papers presented were well prepared and supported. Students appreciated the location and organization of work, expressing the willingness to participate in other similar activities. After this activity, the drawings were exhibited in the physics laboratory, and materials made by students will be popularized in the school and presented in physics and geography classes. In the World Space Week, 98 students watched at Arges County Museum Planetarium the movie "Travel in the Solar System".
