| Event Description: | "Join us for a week ONLINE and IN PERSON to celebrate World Space Week. The National Space Centre will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-17:00 with an opportunity to enjoy the exhibition with a significantly reduced capacity (booking in advance ESSENTIAL, including Annual Pass holders). If you have always wanted to enjoy a day out, but not wanted to visit when large groups are on site, then FRIDAY is the day for you #SciFRI. Our cafe will be open serving seasonal, homemade, locally sourced sandwiches, snacks, salads, hot dogs, jacket potatoes, soups and all manner of tasty hot and cold drinks. The shop will also be open, but please follow the safety guidelines and one way system. Sunrise Session (09 October ONLY) 10:00 - 11:00 We are hosting an early bird session for families with children who have an Autism Spectrum Condition, an anxiety disorder, or a Special Educational Need that means they would benefit from a quieter, more relaxed session. Explore the exhibition with very few visitors in the galleries An accessible and safe session hosted by the Education team. Working lights on in the galleries no dark spaces Volume levels, flashing lights etc. all managed to offer best experience. Our Cafe and shop will be open." |
