| Event Name: | National Quiz Competition on Satellites Improve Life |
| Event Description: | Astronomy Enthusiasts in Nepal-AEN organized a quiz competition on the occasion of World Space Week,2020. This year’s WSW theme was: “Satellites improve lives”. So, following the theme, AEN organized a national quiz competition where students currently in High-school (Class 8-12) and Gap Year Students could participate and win prizes. The quiz competition was held in a manner that students would learn about satellites in a fun and informative way all while answering the questions. We used two platform for this event. Firstly, we used ZOOM Meet for introducing about the event as well as world space week. Then we used a website called Quizizz for quiz. It had very game like user interface and so, participants were in very interactive. There were 25 questions and participants were awarded points based on their time of choosing answer. It meant, the faster they chose, the more points they got. The event was held on 10th October 2020, Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. We had 44 Quiz participants from all over Nepal. The quiz was a huge success as we got very good feedbacks about it. |
