| Event Description: | Astronomical centre Rijeka will hold events and special evening programs during October 4-10 and join&promote World Space Week. Dedicated to the Theme 2021, for wide public there will be presented the NEW planetarium live show "Woman in Space". The public will be introduced to the first woman flight into space in 1963. Since then, women have continuously set records in space walks and long-distance space flights. Through a short presentation at the planetarium those brave women will be presented as well as many others who from that time until today have contributed to understanding the needs of space flights and space exploration. Special part of the program the photo exhibition Valentina Tereshkova: the first woman in Space will be presented. Other Planetarium program during the WSW 2021 from Tuesday to Saturday at 6 pm on Tuesday "The Little Star that Could", "Race to Earth" (Wednesday and Friday) and "The Futre on Mars" (Thursday). At 7 pm on Wednesday "The first space flyers", A Guide to the Night Sky – Autumn“ on Friday " and "To the Moon and furder" on Saturday. At 8.30 pm on Thursday "Back to the Moon: for Good", Friday "The Two Small Pieces of Glass" and with a good weather conditions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday the telescope Sky observing will be organised. On Saturday morning at 11 for kids "Star Game" planetarium show with the game Find a Polar Star. |
